Dear parents,
We have a short week this week, but it will definitely be a busy one.
Here is what we have going on:
Math: We will finish up Unit 4 on Monday, review for the test on Tuesday, and take the test on Wednesday. We will also complete a fun math mystery.
Writing: Students will edit their drafts of their How To paper and turn it in.
Social Studies: Monday and Tuesday, students will put the final touches on their state projects, so that they will be ready to present on Wednesday.
**We will not continue our reading curriculum since it is such a short week, so we will not have a spelling list, spelling test, or weekly assessment.
Other things going on this week:
A final note: when we get back from the winter break, students will have a field trip. You will see a permission slip come home this week. Please be sure to sign and send it back by Thursday so that your student can attend. If they would like to enjoy a pizza lunch on the field trip, please also send $2 by Thursday.
As always, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please let me know.
Thanks, and have a great week!
Ms. Duvall

Other things going on this week:
- On Monday, we will have a visit from our school counselor.
- On Tuesday, we will have our class party. The students voted to have an electronics and PJ party, so they may bring one electronic to school with them to use. If they do not have an electronic, or if you would prefer they not bring it, they can use the chromebook. It is also a PE day, so if they choose to wear slippers, please be sure they also bring tennis shoes.
- On Wednesday, students will present their state projects, take their math test, and have a visit from the art teacher in the afternoon.
- On Thursday, we will have our holiday party. In the morning, students will watch the Santa Claus 2, and in the afternoon, we will rotate from class to class completing a craft, eating a snack, playing winter-themed games, and making holiday cards. All of you are invited to attend and help out if you would like. If you plan on attending, please let me know via email. The party will be held from 1:20-2:40, and the rotations from classroom to classroom will last about 20 minutes each. One item we could still use more of for the party would be stickers, so if you are able to send any in, that would be awesome.
- Friday, the students do not have school, as that is the start of winter break.
